Edward Porper Seminar

We would like to invite Edmonton’s higher-rated chess players to attend the Edward Porper Seminar, the 2nd lecture of which will be held this Saturday, May 14, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., at the Edmonton Chess Club, 10840 – 124 Street.

This Seminar will analyze topics designed to improve the play of Edmonton’s higher-rated players, the presentations being aimed at players in the range 1800 – 2400.  However, lower-rated players are also certainly welcome to attend.

2010 February Sectional

Sectional tournament on February 6th and 7th.

4-player double round-robin sections.
All sections CFC rated, top section FIDE rated.
CFC Membership required. Can be purchased at site. 41 dollars for a yearly membership, 20 for a single tournament rating.

Edmonton International Qualifier 2009

This event will qualify one player to the prestigious 4th Edmonton International, which will take place between December 17-21. Besides having a chance to qualify for the main event you will also have a chance to contribute your share to top level chess in Edmonton as 50% of the entry fees will go towards the support of the Edmonton International. The qualifier is CFC and FIDE rated.

Dates: October 31-November 1

Registration: Saturday, October 31; 9:00-9:45 am
